DotA 2

In our very first match of the recently announced ASUS ROG Dreamleague Season 1 tonight we faced a very intimidating opponent, to say the least. After all, they did win The International 3. Yes, of course it is sweAlliance we’re talking about! Tonight they (unfortunately) showed us why the’re a force to be reckoned with.

ASUS ROG Dreamleague is one of the bigger tournaments on the DotA scene. Featuring 12 of the best teams in the world divided into 3 groups in the group stages (North America, Western Europe and Eastern Europe) competing for over $100.000. It takes place over 9 weeks where the Grand Finals will be played during Dreamhack Summer taking place in swe Jönköping. Every single one of the 84 games will also be broadcasted live on Swedish television from Dreamhack Studio in swe Stockholm. During these 84 games every team will face each other once in a best of one game, except the teams that are in a group together. Those teams will play each other twice in best of one games. swe MYM is in the Western Europe group consisting of the following teams:

We’ve had some great games recently, qualifying for the Dreamleague, being close to going 2:0 against swe Empire to name a few. Tonight was simply not one of our proudest moments. A demoralizing loss against sweAlliance after barely crossing the 20 minute line in this best of 1 group stage game. We had a debatable draft, and after only a few smaller mistakes from our side swe Alliance simply took the lead, kept it and defeated sweMYM.

swe MYM has several more games left in the ASUS ROG Dreamleague however, and with these games a chance to retaliate and continue to evolve as a team, rise and show the true colours of the beast that is swe MYM!
