CS: GO advances in ESEA playoffs

Today the swe Meet Your Makers squad continued their quest for the ESEA Open season title. In the upper bracket quarter-final, our team defeated swe myXMG handily 16-6 to advance to the semi-final against swe almost extreme.

Getting easier

It seems that the further into the playoffs our team gets, the easier it becomes. Our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team made quick work of their opponents defeating them on de_inferno, 16-6. The match was never close with our team quickly opening up to a 6-0 lead. As the half was closing out, it became clear that sweMeet Your Makers was in great form. The half ended with a score of 12-3. After the two teams switched sides, it was our team’s side to play on the Counter-Terrorist defensive side. It didn’t take long for us to close out the match as we won the entire match 16-6.
Although the round before this we received a default win, the playoffs haven’t been so easy. In the first round, sweMeet Your Makers went into overtime with swe GeSports. This gave our team an early scare and really showed that no team can be taken lightly. Luckily our team quickly learned from this match to completely outmatch our opponents this time around. Thanks to this match we have advanced to the upper-bracket semi-finals to play swe almost extreme. Both of our teams are undefeated so far in the playoffs and a spot in the upper-bracket finals is at stake.

We asked  swe Paweł “innocent” Mocek  from our CS:GO team to provide some insight about the tournament:

“As everyone who follows our team already knows, we won todays match against myXMG. As we planned, we did this without any bigger issues. The win definitely gives us some confidence going into the later phases of the ESEA playoffs, but more importantly, gives us confidence ahead of the IEM Katowice qualifiers and SLTV StarSeries. The only thing we can do now is concentrate more on our training to perform well in the future.”

The time of the semi-final has yet to be determined but we will keep our users updated via our Facebook and Twitter as soon as we know anything.
