The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship is finally upon us for one more year, as the top 12 teams from the season make their way to Hannover, Germany for 4 days of fierce competition, which will end with one the teams crowning themselves as the Season 7 Champions and walking home $50,000 richer, while the 2^nd place finishers will have to settle for $25,000.

As per usual the World Championships will be held at CeBIT, and all of the action will be brought live to you by ESL TV, with ReDeYe and sjokz hosting the event, Joe Miller, Deman and Jason Kaplan casting and finally Jarett Cale, Panky and qu1cksh0t on the analysts desk.

The event will feature top teams from Europe, South Korea and Brazil battling it out first in a group stage consisting of 2 groups of 6, where the top team of each group will directly qualify for the semifinals and the 2^nd and 3^rd best teams will have to fight each other for the remaining 2 spots in the semifinals. The groupstage will be played as a Bo1 Round Robin, while the playoffs will be single elimination Bo3 until the grand final which will be an intense Bo5.
