Just last week, Russian organization Moscow 5 announced that they would be releasing their League of Legends squad. The decision came after the organization struggled to find financial backing following the detention of its former main investor by Dutch police and further extradition to the United States.

It was Monday afternoon when news broke out that the Russian quintet would be joining an, until then, unknown organization by the name of Gambit Gaming. Up to this point, not much information has been made public about the organization or their plans for the future, but what seems clear is that with the backing of Pringles and Benq, the organization should be able to support these players as they deserve.

The first event under their new name will be Intel Extreme Masters Katowice this coming weekend, where they have been placed in Group A alongside Curse, Azubu.Blaze and our very own League of Legends team. In regards to the transfer, Alex 'Alex Ich' Ichetovkin, who is the AP Mid for the team, said the following to in2lol.com; “I am glad that we have got a new organization that decided to cover all our needs and help us in our goals. And I really like that the tag can be shortened to GG :D”

It remains to be seen if the quintet will be able to replicate their successes of 2012, a year where they won first place at Intel Extreme Masters 7 Kiev, Intel Extreme Masters 7 World Championship, European Challenger Circuit Poland and a notable 3^rd/4^th place at the Season 2 World Championship.
