Just some weeks ago, the organizers behind the Kings of Europe tournament, which took place a while back and was highly appraised by the fans, announced they would be holding a new tournament, this time around using a new funding method that is becoming quite popular as of late throughout the internet, crowd funding. The original goal of the organizers was to secure a total of $80,000 in funding, a number they managed to surpass, securing over $105,000 after the funding period was over. In terms of prize money, a total of $30,000 will be awarded, but for now, the exact distribution remains a secret.

The format for the tournament features 2 phases, first an online phase, in which teams will be spanided into 2 groups of 5, with each team facing each other 1 times in a Bo1 format. The first place finishers of each group will directly qualify for the 2nd phase, which will be held offline in Paris, France, while the 2nd and 3rd place finishers will have to play each other to determine who gets the remaining 2 spots in the offline event.
