CLG.na brings in Locodoco, Voyboy shown the exit door

The acclaimed North American team brings in a new player in light of their poor performance at the Season 2 Championship Finals.

After a more than questionable performance at the Season 2 Championship Finals held not long ago in Los Angeles, the North American team CLG.na (Counter Logic Gaming) announced yesterday morning in European time, that they had introduced a new support player to their roster.

The player joining the team was announced to be Yoonsup “Locodoco” Choi, with community favorite Joedat "Voyboy" Esfahani seeing his contract terminated to make way for the South Korean. With this move, the South Korean will be moving to the United States, while the current support player Steve “Chauster” Chau will now be roaming the jungle. The changes are completed with the current jungler, George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis, moving to his old role of top laner, where a lot of fans think his skills will shine more.

Yoonsup “Locodoco” Choi had this to say:

“After declining several offers from Korean teams I’m glad to finally settle down with CLG. I see an immense potential within the team and hope to bring my Korean mindset and work ethic back to North America so that we may perform up to the CLG name in Season 3 and beyond.”

Joedat "Voyboy" Esfahani posted the following comment on his Facebook page:

“I am no longer on CLG. I wish them the best of luck in Season 3 and beyond. I'll be looking to join a new team that can embrace me in the near future.”

The new CLG.na roster looks as follows:

George 'HotShotGG' Geogallidis - Top lane

Micheal 'bigfatlp' Tang - AP mid

 Steve 'Chauster' Chau – Jungle

Peter 'Doublelift' Peng - AD carry

Choi 'Locodoco' Yoonsup – Support

With this change, CLG.na looks to replicate their golden days from Season 1, where they were considered as one of the best teams in the world, and where they managed to win various events like Intel Extreme Masters Cologne or the World Cyber Games of 2010. Whether this change is the answer to their bad performance in the Season 2 Championship Finals or not, remains to be seen.
