Season Two European Regionals at Gamescom 2012 - Day One Recap
Gamescom 2012 started! League of Legends is heading a tournament! Read all about the games of the first day of the Season Two European Regionals!
On the first day at gamescom 2012 the Season 2 European Regionals of League of Legends started with the matches of
Fnatic vs.
Curse.eu and
M5 vs.
EloHell. The
first game of the day started at about 12:00 and showed us an amazing
first impression of what we can except during gamescom.
FnaticRC vs.
Curse.eu
Game 1:
Picks:
First blood getsCurse.eu
after 4.00 minutes in game: Morgana and Mundo ganked botlane and Morgana
finally killed Leona in the tribush while Ezreal, Taric and Mundo got
an assist. After First blood, Mundo stole
Fnatic's red buff.
Jayce wins the toplane easily against Shen in creep kills, kills and gets Curse's toptower after 14 minutes.
Mundo and Morgana ganked botlane again and picked up the kill on both Leona and Corki. After killing them they get a fast first Dragon at 17 minutes. Jayce was still busy toplane killing the second tower, so Fnatic couldn't do anything aganist Curse getting the Drake.
With an amazing Leona ultimate at 22 minutes, Fnatic is able to pick up the kills on Taric and Shen.
Fnatic lost a Dragon fight with a wrong initiation of Ahri what Fnatic costs the 2nd mid tower and Dragon.
Curse wins a Team fight which was a 2 for 3 exchange. Corki was able to barley survive the team fight and was able to get a turret execution. Jayce survives with full health and was able to pick up the kill on Ezreal.
After repaswning Curse.eu is walking around Baron, while Corki gets Dragon by himself. When Fnatic went to Baron, they get caught by Curse.eu and got aced by them. Curse.eu used the ace to push mi lane and get the first inhibitor tower and even the inhibitor. Curse was forcing another Baron fight and tried to gank Jayce on toplane, but because of an awesome positionation of Fnatic, they were able to pick up 4 kills; all except Shen and only Leona died in the fight. After the fight they were able to get a fast Baron. But they must go back, because Superminions were pushing on the Nexus turrets.
On Fnatic's blue buff Corki picked up a triple kill on Mundo, Morgana and Taric and pushed down afterwards 2 inhibitor towers and one inhibitor.
Even with an amazing Morgana Ultimate hitting all 5 champions, Curse lost the team fight on the bottom inhibitor Tower. They picked up 2 kills, the last inhibitor tower and even one nexues turret.
When Baron spawnd, Fnatic immediatley startet baron, picked up Baron while Curse.eu tried to fight Fnatic and they were able to pick up 4 kills with the buff and ended the game after 45 minutes.
Game 2:

Fnatic decides to invade
With a great gank of Nocturne on toplane, Shen is able to kill Olaf.
Because of his early advantage, Ezreal outfarms Ashe in early game and with the Lulu AP buff he can poke her a lot and always keeps her low life.
Nocturne hits level 6 after about 7 minutes which makes him an even more scary opponent and ganker. Nocturne tries to camp top and kill Olaf again, but there isn't a good occasion to gank, so he keeps jungling. Nocturne initiates on botlane with ultimate on Ashe and Nunu. But Malphite came in with an amazing ulti from the Jungle and it looks like a bad gank for Fnatic, when Lulu dies on Malphite, but Ezreal is able to pick up the kill on Ashe and Nocturne slains Maplhite with the help of Shen's Ultimate shield. Gragas and Ahri are coming bot, too, but Nocturne survives Gragas ulti with his spell shield and Ezreal manges to barley survive a barrel. Ahri picks up the kill on Nunu. During the fight Olaf dropped down the top tower for Curse.eu.
Fnatic picks up the dragon after 14 minutes without Curse even noticing it.
After pushing down bot turret, Fnatic tries to push midlane, but with a great Gragas ulti, Ashe kills Ahri and Curse.eu gets Fnatic's mid tower really low and finally kills it while Shen picks up top tower and keeps pushing the second top tower down. But Curse.eu also gets their first Dargon in the game. Fnatic still has a 4000 gold lead. A 4 vs. 4 team fight on botlane ended up in no kills, but a lot of wasted ultis.
After 24 minutes, Curse prepares for a Baron via clearing up all wards around Baron but they back off again. Malphite initiates under Fnatics mid turret via Ulti, but Fnatic kills Nunu and Gragas while Curse didn't picked up a single kill.
Curse.eu tries to do a Baron without Ashe, when Nocturne initiates with Ultimate and Fnatic was able to get 3 kills and a free Baron. Fnatic now has a 10k gold lead and starts pushing all lanes with the Baron buff. Thanks to a great Lulu Ult on Ezreal, Ezreal manges to survive a deadly Ashe/Malphite Ultimate Combo and Fnatic picks up the kill on Olaf.
When Baron spawned again, Fnatic immediately starts the Baron, when Curse comes and Fnatic backs up from Baron and starts fighting. Ashe is able to pick up a triple kill after a long poking phase and the Baron goes to Curse and it seems like Curse comes back in the game. But they are not able to turn the game arround. After Baron buff running out, Fnatic starts pushing again, gets an inhibitor, Nunu and Olaf. Gragas picks up the kill on Nocturne. Fnatic starts the Baron while Ashe is botlane. Curse tries to stop them, but Ezreal picks up 3 kills. When Ashe arrives, she is only able to kill Ahri, backs off and starts poking Fnatic together with Malphite, but Fnatic can still pick up the Baron and even the kill on Ashe. Fnatic starts pushing right after, getting 2 inhibitors several kills and Fnatic finally ends the game after almost 50 minutes.
Fnatic goes out of this Best of 3 with 2 won games.

EloHell
Game 1
Picks:
Both teams choose a save start and didn't invade each others jungle, except of anEloHell ward at the wraiths of
M5. Nautilus
tries to gank Gragas early mid but Evellyn and he couldn't get down
enough damage to get first blood. Nunu on toplane gets pretty low after a
gank from M5's Lee Sin and is heading back.
Nautilus ganks bot and Corki and Sona are getting really low, but with an amazing flash over the wall and his Sonic Wave, Lee Sin gets first blood on Nautilus and also kills Leona.
M5 AlexIch ganks top with his Gragas but Nunu barely survives. Evellyn ganks bot and kills Sona thanks to Leonas Stun. But Lee Sin can pick up aonther kill on Evellyn. A great gank of Lee sin and Gragas gives Gragas a double kill on Nautilus and Nunu. M5 wins every lane easily and gets kill after kill. After 12 Minutes, M5 already has 8 kills, while EloHell still has just one kill. Lee Sin and Gragas gank top again and pick up the kill on Nunu. M5's botlane gets tower spaned but they survive and thanks to Gragas comming bot, Sona kills Nautilus. Gragsas and Lee Sin steal EloHell's blue buff and they pick up together with Ezreal the Drake after 16 minutes which leads them to a nearly 10 000 gold lead. M5 is clearly dominating and there is no chance for EloHell to win this game. 20 Minutes in game, M5 picks up the Baron easily. Right after the Baron, they start pushing mid and Corki gets a triple kill. In one last Team Fight, M5 picks up 3 kills and wins the game after 22 minutes with 21 to 1 kills.
Game 2
Picks:
Again both teams are starting in their own Jungles, butM5 changed
their set up a little bit. Corki and Nunu are toplane against Jax while
Yorick picked up the blue buff which Shyvana doesnt need and he takes
botlane. Shyvana prepares herself to make a Level 2 tower spane. But Jax
can escape and
EloHell picks up first blood on Nunu with help of Udyr.
Gragas picks up the kill against Kassadin in a very close 1 vs 1.
Udyr ganks Yorick bot and Graves is able to kill him with the Taric and Udyr stun. After that kill, Corki, Nunu and Yorick are switching again, back to the normal meta.
Jax tries to gank bot and camps in the bush till Nunu comes close enough and picks up the kill on him. Meanwhile Yorick has free farm on toplane. Botlane works really well for EloHell now. Graves is already on a killingspree after 8 minutes.
Now EloHell is switching bot- and toplane.
M5 picks up an easy drake, but meanwhile Graves drops down the top turret.
Dragon spawned again and EloHell starts the dragon, finish it, but lose the team fight right after slaining the dragon in a 3 for 1.
EloHell is starting a Baron after 21 minutes. They pick up Baron, 2 kills on Yorick and Nunu and the mid turret which gives them a nice 2000 gold lead. Graves is very fed now with a score of 7/0, an "Inifinty Edge" and even a "Phantom Dancer". It doesn't look very good for M5, they lose tower after tower and can't do a lot against it.
M5 gets catched in their own jungle, Yorick goes down immedatiely, but M5 is able to kill everyone except Kassadin who tries to shut down the top inhibitor tower while M5 picks up Baron. Kassadin gets chased by Gragas, but he can escape.
Moskow 5 starts pushing and wins a 2 for 0 team fight under the enemy turret. After getting mid tower, they keep pushing on top and pick up their first inhibitor. Afterwards they back off. In one final push, Yorick picks up a double kill and M5 wins also the second game.
