News:
compLexity wins The Defense
Although mousesports defeated CLG 2-0 in a clear strike and therefore advanced to the grand final, they had to go down 1-3 to compLexity Gaming who edged them out and took home € 6,000. Mouz received € 2,500 for finishing second and CLG € 1,500 in third. We thank all teams as well as joinDOTA.com for this great tournament, it was always fun to watch. For those who missed the games, you can read about it here.
Game 1
Radiant - mouz
Venomancer, Invoker, Slardar, KotL, Morphling
Dire - coL
Nature's Prophet, Leshrac, Lone Druid, Beastmaster, Vengeful Spirit
Bamboe on the KotL gets killed early when he tries to disturb Chen in the jungle, this is the first blood for coL. Morphling wins the mid lane against Prophet who kept teleporting out of the lane for ganks. When they both go for the rune, Morphling is even able to bring down Prophet. Some fights end up in the favour of coL, they pick up a tower and get a Roshan at the 20th minute, mouz could not do much to prevent them doing it. Later in the game, the coL lineup spends a long time on chasing Morphling who gets away after a few Waveforms. They instantly change their target to Venomancer and also start to chase him, until he picks up a haste rune and quickly runs away - a long time wasted for coL where they get nothing from. Although this and mouz showing their strength at defending their base, coL is able to take down mouz's barracks and go for Roshan again. One last push comes out from mouz, but the GG is called shortly after it by them.
Game 2
Radiant - coL
Rubick, Prophet, Morphling, Lich, Sandking
Dire - mouz
Dark Seer, Venomancer, Enchantress, Clinkz, Shadow Shaman
The second game starts with an early first blood on Enchantress, who was caught in the Radiant jungle. However, she comes back and conquers the jungle with the help of Venomancer. From that point on, chaos breaks out at the bottom lane where a tri lane was going up against a trilane, which lead to many kills. Additonal heroes from both teams were coming in for support. At the 19th minute, Enchantress and Shadow Shaman try to go for Roshan with the Rhasta Wards, but are scouted. The teamfight after this was won by mouz, giving the aegis to Shadow Shaman. Clinkz was able to pick up some kills out of invisibility before mouz goes for Roshan again, which meant a free aegis for Rhasta. Strong teamfights have now been fought by mouz and Clinkz' damage could not be handled by coL. After getting completely destroyed in a teamfight without getting any kills, coL has to give up, making it 1-1.
Game 3
Radiant - mouz
Broodmother, Venomancer, Enchantress, Shadow Shaman, Viper
Dire - coL
Rubick, Nature's Prophet, Tidehunter, Queen of Pain, Lina
In the first minutes, Prophet is brought down by a smoke gank by Venomancer and Enchantress on the middle lane. Meanwhile, the coL tri lane consisting of Rubick, Lina and QoP shuts down the Broodmother. Venomancer and Enchantress also cannot help to improve Brood's situation on her lane. Buying a Mekansm, Viper goes for a rather unconventional item build. Some kills happen on both sides, coL wants to force the teamfight but mouz split pushes to avoid teamfights. This also opens space for Viper to farm. Mouz is able to push down some towers, but coL leads the killscore and manages to take down the Radiant's top barracks, Rubick being the only casualty. When coL pushes the mid barracks, Brood and Viper actually deal a decent amount of damage and get some kills, but cannot defend the base. While coL goes for Roshan, GG is called by mouz.
Game 4
Radiant - coL
Nature's Prophet, Tidehunter, Venomancer, Queen of Pain, Disruptor
Dire - mouz
Leshrac, Morphling, Sandking, Ogre Magi, Jakiro
Jeyo played the Prophet in this game now for the 4th time in a row, but with the Ogre and the Jakiro, we see some unusual picks by mouz. The bottom lane was again place of early action, as tri lanes would face each other. coL managed to get control over this, also counterwarding the area. When Sandking and Jakiro go for a gank on Tidehunter, Sandking doesn't want to use his ulti but Tidehunter does so, granting a double kill on the Venomancer who teleported in. While coL picks up some kills, mouz picks up the first tower, but mouz' experience disadvantage was growing and growing. Using multiple buybacks, they still could win a teamfight. Mouz have also been able to hold their barracks in a long teamfight but at the end could not stop coL.
