The class S teams of the Philippines really brought up their game this time but in the end only one team could take the championship and the PhP 15,000 cash prize.
The games started with group stage. As usual the top 2 teams advance to the Playoffs and the bottom 2 teams are moved to the consolation bracket. Here are the groups of the 8 teams who joined and their corresponding W/L records.

MSI Evolution GT showed their dominance in the group stage and won all 3 of their games. three teams were tied for 1st place. Tsong XP and Pacific eMaxx advance to playoffs while Sweetopia and iZONE GIGABYTE are moved to the consolation bracket.
Group B shows just how competitive these class S teams are. Three are tied for first place in group stage but because GMPGL uses the time rating mechanics, no tie breaker games took place. The teams who finished their games faster advance to the Playoffs. Tsong XP finished their games faster than everybody else, with a time of 23 minutes and 47 seconds while Pacific eMaxx placed second with a time of 31 minutes and 27 seconds. These teams were to face Dreamz Ledion SteelSeries in the Playoffs.
It all came down to the top 4 in the finals. Every team started in the winners bracket and losers will have a last chance at the losers bracket. Dreamz Ledion Steelseries dominated the winners bracket by defeating Pacific eMaxx in the first round and MSI EvoGT in the 2nd round. Dreamz went on to the finals with a twice to beat advantage for being undefeated in the winners bracket. Pacific eMaxx and Tsong XP both lost and MSI EvoGT ended up winning the losers bracket and going to the finals with Dreamz Ledion SteelSeries.
Dreamz and MSI Evo GT meet for the 3rd time now and it seems that after the loss of Dreamz to MSI Evo GT in the group stage, Dreamz finally got a hang of MSI Evo GT's play style. Nonetheless, http://replays.mineski.net/dota/2702
In the end, Dreamz won and took the GMPGL 4-7 title along with the PhP 15,000 cash prize. On the other hand, Pacific Palit and Ledion Turboratz are the bottom two teams of the top 8 and are thus sent to the class A division for the next leg.
The next leg of GMPGL will surely be filled with more surprises and a lot of action.Class A division champions are moved to class S and new strategies will come about. Will Dreamz be able to defend their title? We will see next month. Stay tuned for more of GMPGL!
